A World With History

The story of the McMidgeys

Small enough to shelter under a thistle, stubborn enough to outlast a Highland winter.

Born of mist and mischief

The McMidgey Clan is a wholly original character brand rooted in the mist, music and mischief of Scotland. The clan lives in the folds of a glen nobody has quite managed to find twice — a place of peat smoke, fiddle tunes and long stories told longer.

Each member carries a little piece of Highland folklore. Some borrow the courage of the old clans, some the friendly rumours that drift across the loch, and some simply the habit of turning up wherever there's food and a good song.

Heritage, told kindly

Scotland's stories are often told in castles and battle lines. The McMidgeys tell them at knee height: the kindness of a neighbour, the stubbornness of weather, the pride of a place you belong to. It is heritage without the hush of a museum — warm, funny and made for children and grandparents to enjoy in the same sitting.

Built for partnership

The clan is designed to travel: tourism partnerships, visitor centres, heritage storytelling, illustrated books and collectible keepsakes. Every character comes with a name, a temperament and a tale, so a partner can pick the McMidgey that suits their corner of Scotland and let them do the welcoming.
